While on return, they meet Death eaters who got a hint of Harry’s evacuation. In the process, Moody gets killed and George Weaslys suffers from significant wounds. Lord Voldemort moves to kill Harry himself. However, the seventeen-year-old plays smarter; he uses the wand to disappear and recalculate his moves.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione gather again to re-strategize; clearly, no one is giving up the fight. The three classmates decide to abandon school and focus on the enemy. They change all of their names, which show their commitment to hunting down Lord Voldemort.

The trio resurfaces during a wedding at the Weaslys where they are surprised to an attack by the Death Eaters. In the process, they lost the locket but go back in disguise appearance to get it back. However, they disclose their London hideout. The trio breaks to two after arguments where Ron decides to leave.
