Introduction
2007 was a bittersweet year for us Potterheads, as J.K. Rowling unveiled the much-anticipated finale to the Harry Potter Audiobook series. Wrapping up a magical journey that started in 1997, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows brought us the epic face-off between Harry Potter and the dark wizard, Lord Voldemort. This thrilling showdown was a fitting end to a saga that had enthralled listeners and readers for a decade. Rowling’s strategy of narrating Harry’s journey through seven distinct chapters not only captured our imaginations but also showcased her genius in storytelling.
With Stephen Fry’s masterful narration, we were transported one last time to the spellbinding world of wizards, bravery, and friendship. His voice, rich and expressive, breathed life into every character, from the bravest hero to the darkest villain, making the enchanting universe of Hogwarts, magical creatures, and epic battles even more immersive. Every inflection and tone he employed painted a vivid image in our minds, ensuring that this final journey with Harry and his friends was not just heard, but deeply felt. It was as if Fry wasn’t just reading the story, but reliving it with us, making every moment, every spell, and every emotion resonate in our hearts.
Let’s enjoy the last journey.
The hit
On the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Audiobook, more than 10 million copies were dispatched to different locations across the world within 24 hours. Of course, the United States had the most orders. This was a record breaker on the statistics of the previous books in the series. The novel found its way to the Guinness World Record upon its release. There is less from critics to talk about the audiobook, if any. The number of awards from US libraries, in Canada, and the UK is uncountable. The richness in content is attributed to its release in two parts.
Dumbledore was a pillar of Voldemort’s army. His death necessitated new techniques like involving the Ministry of magic. At the time of impending war, Harry’s seventeenth birthday is fast approaching meaning there will be no more parent protection. His army which entails the Weasleys, Moody, and other members of the Order of Phoenix quickly takes him away to a hidden location. While on return, they meet Death Eaters who got a hint of Harry’s evacuation. In the process, Moody gets killed and George Weasley suffers from significant wounds. Lord Voldemort moves to kill Harry himself. However, the seventeen-year-old plays smarter; he uses the wand to disappear and recalculate his moves.
The showdown
Harry, Ron, and Hermione gather again to re-strategize; clearly, no one is giving up the fight. The three classmates decide to abandon school and focus on the enemy. They change all of their names, which show their commitment to hunting down Lord Voldemort.
The trio resurfaces during a wedding at the Weaslys where they are surprised to an attack by the Death Eaters. In the process, they lost the locket but go back in disguise appearance to get it back. However, they disclose their London hideout. The trio breaks to two after arguments where Ron decides to leave. Harry continues the quest and kills Voldemort and the wizard world regains peace with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Audiobook Mp3.
Narrator
Stephen John Fry, born on 24 August 1957, is not only a celebrated English comedian, actor, writer, and activist but also the mesmerizing voice behind the British version of the Harry Potter audiobooks.
Alongside his comedic ventures with Hugh Laurie, such as the iconic “A Bit of Fry & Laurie,” he has breathed life into J.K. Rowling’s magical world, capturing the essence of each character and transporting listeners straight to Hogwarts.
For many Potterheads like me, Stephen Fry’s readings are more than just narrations; they’re a spellbinding journey alongside Harry and his friends.

hi! on this page says: “Dumbledore was a pillar of Voldermort’s army”, which i think somehow doesnt add up… you might want to change it to “was a pillar of the army against Voldemort”…
otherwise i LOVE the Stephen Fry version! thank you
I was finally able to make it to Chapter 10 with a lot of difficulty through some of the other Chapters. Chapter 10 is just not loading at all. I’ve tried Internet Explorer and Chrome on a desktop and my phone.
I am having the same issue, anything past chapter 3 won’t play, using android device, Google chrome browser.
It’s working well with me. Please try again 🙂 Please wait until 00:00 changes into the real length of the chapter.
Love the site. I’ve been listening to the series, read by Stephen Fry, and am finally on the Deathly Hallows! Only problem is that most of the chapters won’t play ? I hope there’s a fix soon. I’d love to continue emerging myself in such an amazing world!
It’s working in all my devices. Please check again and tell me if you can listen or not. Btw, are you using iOS device?
